The recent UK Supreme Court ruling redefining the protected characteristic of “sex” in the Equality Act has sent a wave of fear, grief, and anger through the LGBTQ+ community — particularly among trans people. This ruling is more than a legal technicality. It is a reminder to many of our friends, colleagues, and loved ones that their rights, safety, and very existence are still under debate in the eyes of the law.
