Operations Manager (Part-Time)

About us

  • According to the UKIE 2022 industry census, around a quarter of UK games industry staff are LGBTQ+. Out Making Games (“OMG”) is the UK’s games not-for-profit industry body representing the interests of LGBTQ+ staff. 

  • OMG organise social events for our community, work with corporate partners and advocate for the interests of LGBTQ+ people.

About the role

  • We are looking for a part-time Operations Manager to help us deliver our various strategies, operate OMG and serve our community.

  • The role will report to the OMG leadership group and take on OMG operational leadership.

  • The role is for a 12-month fixed term, with the possibility of annual extension.

  • Flexible, remote working, with a working time requirement of only 1 day (8 working hours) per week.

  • Remuneration negotiable, within range £8,000 - £12,000 annually.

Responsibilities

  • Represent OMG to our corporate partners, managing existing partner relations and seeking out new corporate partners for OMG to collaborate with.

  • Assist with managing OMG’s finance admin.

  • Assist with OMG events organisation.

  • Assist with OMG social media communications and community management.

  • Lead with day-to-day OMG administration, such as email responses.

  • Provide strategic leadership for OMG’s annual goals and objectives.

Skills and qualifications

  • Experience in the games industry, or a passion for games, is preferred.

  • Prior leadership experience is preferred, but not required.

  • Prior experience in a not-for-profit is preferred but not required.

  • Strong communications skills, commercial awareness and strategic thinking are needed.

  • Our ideal candidate would be able to demonstrate a clear interest and understanding of the issues relevant to the LGBTQ+ community and to diversity & inclusion generally.
